Innovation of road transport and improving transport efficiency are global trends and major objectives of sustainable development. Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs) promise to play an important role towards these goals. The test track of Zalaegerszeg in Hungary, the ZalaZONE, provides ground for your future vehicle testing and opportunities for your business.

PROGRAMME OF THE WORKSHOP

Wednesday, 11 November 2020, 10.00–11.30

  • Welcome words by Anna Mária Sikó, Ambassador of Hungary to Norway
  • Presentation of the autonomous driving test track by Robert Siddi, Head of Sales, AVL-ZalaZone Ltd.
  • Introduction of ZalaZONE R&I activities by Dr. Viktor Tihanyi, R&I Team Leader, ZalaZone
  • Q&A
  • B2B one-to-one on request

Please note that after the digital workshop and based on travel opportunities, we plan to organise a field trip to Zalaegerszeg in early 2021.

The facility is a European unique EUR 127 million public investment on a 265-hectare area. ZalaZONE is one of the European centres testing and piloting 5G developments in telecommunications. The hub aims to offer technologically advanced laboratories for educational and research purposes and to become one of the main centres of autonomous vehicle development in Europe. A key component of the project is the smart city zone concept, an environment for research and testing of future technologies in both a downtown and suburban context.
