Hungarian-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce organized a trip for Norwegian businessmen to Hungary to promote bilateral business relations. Highlights of the trip included a visit to Veszpém as European Capital of Culture. As Bodø is also being awarded the title of European Capital of Culture next year, there is close cooperation between Veszpém and Bodø. The Norwegian delegation guided by the Embassy’s trade attaché, Bálint Bűcs was welcomed by Tibor Navracsics, Minister for Regional Development, Katalin Bihari, Deputy State Secretary for External Economic Relations, as well as Gyula Porga, Mayor of Veszprém. They also met Gábor Jenei, the CEO of HEPA Zrt, the Hungarian Tourism Agency, and representatives of the chambers of commerce and industry in Budapest and Veszprém, and held successful business-to-business meetings with ten companies. Lastly, at the Wine and Gourmet Gastronomy Festival in Veszprém, the participants could taste excellent Hungarian wines and culinary specialities.
