February saw FeHoVa, the greatest gathering of the hunters, anglers and nature-lovers of the Carpathian Basin, which was attended this year by nearly 25 thousand visitors. The trophies and dioramas attracted many visitors, and one of this year’s most anticipated competitions was the Troating Competition, which was hosted for the 10th occasion this year. The lectures and presentations for anglers were also highly popular events, where world and European championship anglers shared their knowledge.

In early March, the Budapest Boat Show, the Caravan Salon and the Travel exhibition were hosted simultaneously. Although it was clear that the coronavirus pandemic heavily impacted the tourism industry, domestic tourism and boat purchasing interest increased. The central themes of this year’s exhibition were restarting tourism and safety. The domestic guest of honour was the Veszprém-Balaton region, while the foreign guest of honour was Egypt. Lake Tisza was the Budapest Boat Show’s guest of honour. The four days were filled with plenty of professional as well as the general audience attractions.

Hosted at the end of the month, the Sirha Budapest Trade Exhibition was a highly successful event in all respects. Over 25,000 thousand professional visitors attended the biggest food industry and HoReCa event of Central and Eastern Europe, featuring 363 exhibitors from 15 countries. The Czech Republic, Indonesia and Italy attended the event with collective stands. The event was rich in professional attractions as well as competitions and we are particularly proud that this was the second occasion that the European finals of the Bocuse d’Or culinary competition were hosted in Budapest.

Mid-April saw the 40th CONSTRUMA International Construction Industry Trade Fair as well as the 10th HOMEDesign Homemaking Exhibition, with nearly 40 thousand visitors over the five-day event featuring 460 exhibitors from 17 countries. After a one-year hiatus, the assortment of exhibitions returned as the long-awaited gathering of the trade. The event also featured a number of conferences, professional tours and presentations.

The first semester of the exhibition season ended on 13 May. This year, the 15th MACH-TECH, 9th INDUSTRY DAYS and 10th AUTOMOTIVE HUNGARY events focused on developing hydrogen-based technology, Hungarian battery manufacturing and industrial robotization. Over the course of the four days, 400 exhibitors from 15 countries presented their products and services to nearly 15,000 professional visitors.

The HOMEDesign Autumn exhibition opens its doors to visitors on the fourth occasion on 4-6 November. Acquisitions are underway and we are busy preparing for next year’s events, which are listed in the attached exhibition calendar.
