Recently we had a fantastic study tour to HNCC member, Pilot Flight Academy(PFA). Pilot Flight Academy is one of Europe’s largest and most modern flight academies and is located at Sandefjord airport Torp. The Academy has a large international environment with 350 students. They will expand their airline pilot education with a new base on Hévíz-Balaton Airport in Hungary. Together with the Hungarian government, PFA will provide a very beneficial student financing program to all EU-citizens who qualify to become an airline pilot. This was announced the 29th of April at a press conference by the Hungarian Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister, Mr. Péter Szijjártó and PFA’s CEO, Mr. Frode Granlund at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Budapest.

During the visit, we went through the whole facility, checked the aircrafts and tried out the simulators. With Mr. Granlund’s help,we gained insight into the daily operation of the academy and also into some business aspects.

We are looking forward to be able to visit the Hungarian Pilot Academy as well. Good luck with the project!
